I think a BIG problem we have had all season and more at the moment is that we don't have a running Midfielder who joins attacks in the middle with a late run. Burns just seems happy to break play up in the middle, which is good but we need more goals from centre midfield! Howard could score a few for me if he is a regular and pulls his finger out. McPhail should score a lot more as well!! We never seem to get many free kicks on the edge of the area because we don't have midfielder's running in. Notice when we go to cross a ball, only 1 or 2 forwards in the middle, no one is making a late run. This may spoil our good defence a bit, but we need to score more form the middle!!
Signing Windass was an attempt to solve that problem But it didn't come off, unfortunate that we never looked at an alternative
