Not cheap enough, foreign enough or daft enough to work for our owners.

Russ Abbott would be a good fit.

Too experienced, too British and too old to be our head coach

Perhaps our owners looked at him but mistook him for Russell Slade, then thought no, let’s move on. Easy mistake. Same first name…

Sacking Schopp, or him leaving by mutual consent, I'm sure involved some compensation.
Getting two people released from contracts with an International team, I'm sure involved some compensation.
I'm not saying Poya is the right / wrong option, as it is far too early to make that assumption, but I get fed up with the "Cheap Option" been thrown out, without any supporting evidence.
Pretty similar to the "Asset Stripping" comments, for the same reason.

    Good point.

It is going to take some time to turn things around, but we do need to play with some positivity vs Peterborough. The Swansea game gave him little time to work with the players. Like many games under Schopp we matched them first half & imploded the second. Going 4-2-4 near the end was a bit Moraisesque, or a tactic in Championship Manager '95.

You may well be right. How sad though, how badly they have squandered that cash. I wager Luton may have spent probably less and just look where they are.
It’s not even like we have any assets to sell right now either.
