Video footage of what could be a murder case there if that Pompey fan doesn't pull through. Surely they can be found via this video, IP addresses of the YouTube channel. Or will they disappear back behind the iron curtain?
They'll never be caught. 150 tooled up, masked, black clad muscle men evaded hundreds of police in broad daylight. Unless they show up again and literally walk into the police, they'll never be traced I don't think. Seems totally wrong given the relative trivial transgressions carried out by the English lads that are now in prison.
Russia, and the Russian people, are rotten to the core. The worship Putin. A man who is causing such gross poverty on the majority of his people that he should be demonised. The Russians can only war. And that's all they know. They are, as a race, as backward and living in the dark ages as the radical Muslims. As their country gets poorer they get more dangerous. They are a loose cannon who can never be trusted to live in a moral world
A lot of them aren't masked on a lot of videos, smash and grab attacks because they know as soon as the English realise what's going on they'll be quickly outnumbered, these were the comments I've read on some of their websites under the videos. Most of them have got t-shirts on saying they're Orel Butchers or any other mob, the French police don't want to confront them. None of them arrested is shocking.
Banned, we learnt how to police it years ago and stop them travelling, Russia's just getting used to the wheel.
What exactly are you basing that on? A sweeping generalisation which is by and large wide of the mark.
Tbf having just got back from Marseille myself I've got to say that from what I saw, the blame has switched from us English to the Russians when in actual fact the very vast majority ahould be shared between the local Marseille mob contingent and police. Obviously I wasnt everywhere and saw everything that went off but other than what happened in the stadium I saw no trouble from any Russians, everything seemed to be instigated by locals intent on starting on English, running away when it got heated and the police swiftly moving in with tear gas. A lot of known hooligans were banned from travelling, and according to the BBC, the Russian police informed their French counterparts of the identities of known hooligans whose passports they hadn't managed to confiscate, but nothing was done. The French policing appears to have been woefully inadequate.
You have to accept that Russia is a huge country, very difficult to police at the best of times but even more so when the police force is woefully underfunded in the provinces. It's no coincidence that the thugs causing the trouble all seem to be from deprived backwater cities such as Krasnodar and Orel (as I said they would be as soon as this happened). All the passports confiscated were from people in the Moscow area. Moscow is much more efficiently policed, with relatively far fewer people interested in causing bother. Plus the majority of Muscovites (and Petersburgers) are educated professionals who are as horrified about the goings on in Marseilles as we are. Having said that about the limitations of the Russian police, Ukraine's force must be under such terrible financial constraints that even routine work will be incredibly difficult. Yet at Euro 2012, there was absolutely no bother in Ukraine, despite the dire warnings of Sol Campbell et al. It makes it all the more incredible that the French policing has been so utterly inept.
