hooliganism in the uk game absolutely pales into insignificance with the problems overseas. Yet we seem to get the worst lable. I am bemused as to why this is.

all those in eastern europe are fascinated by the hooliganism in this country during the 70's, 80's and 90's and now seem set on copying. yet fifa/uefa wont ban them because they arent ENGLISH!

late 60's early 70's was the peak in uk IMHO

it was mainly gone by the mid 80's and limited thru the 90's. but some teams have always been problematic with thug fans. I refuse to list them.

The police let 5,000 russians march through the centre of Warsaw to the stadium !!!!

given the long history between Poland and Russia this was a red rag to a bull to the polish, no wonder it kicked off. Those 5,000 or so ruskies marching to the stadium were cannon fodder for the Polish hooligans and they were like ducks lined up for a shoot.

I went to every England game in the world cup in Germany and saw very little bother and have travelled home and away watching them and very often its the foreign police that get it all wrong and actually cause the trouble. They have such an undeucated opionion that every England fan is a hooligan and very often over react and there's always the locals who think they will try and have a pop at the country that supposedly 'invented' hooliganism.

Walk down the high street on mass of a country that you p*ssed on for many years and you will get some shoe from the locals every day of the week !!
