As it depresses me reading about QPR's promotion and wage bill, I thought I'd share a couple of things I read about Ryan Giggs' Man United career, which makes for more palatable reading than most stories that come out of the Premiership, as I don't think anybody has put them on here yet. Firstly, if a player made his debut for Man United today and had a playing career with them as long as Giggs, his last appearance will be in 2036. And what's more, Giggs was often compared to George Best, but if Best's Man United career had lasted as long as Giggs, he would have played under Fergie.
That's very interesting, seriously. The like of Giggs etc and our very own Sir Bob are a dying breed. I can't see many players from now on getting to even a 10 year testimonial
It does say a lot about Giggs but on the flip side he has retired now, he is still a very young man and if he doesn't want to he will never have to work again.
Luke Steele and amazingly, Reuben Noble-Lazarus are only a new contract or two away from making it 10 years at BFC.
Giggs is a tw.at of the highest order. All his sleaszy immoral goings on seem to have been forgotten. Hth
I find it hard to respect Giggs these days. Tremendous player & you've got to admire the way he adapted his game from flying winger to central midfield playmaker as he aged but...... How you can do what he did to his own brother is beyond belief & it wasn't just a pissed up, one night stand it was an 8 year affair. Giggs is talking about going down the management route, how can players respect a man like that? I don't think I could. Proper low life
