Liverpool are trying to put into a contract for whoever signs Ryan Kent that they must play him or will have to pay a fee in compensation. Never heard that in my life before regarding loans.
tell them to shove it then the manager should play who he thinks is the best players to win against a particular team.
That's common practice unfortunately. Remember one of the journos on Sunday Supplement saying a Football League Chairman had told him that these rules were live as part of loan negotiations and that he had a player that cost him £5k for every week of the loan he didn't make it on the pitch. That's why you often see loan players making it off the bench at some point. There's been a few cases over the years with us where fans have joked on here that 'xxx player must have it written in his contract that he has to play' ........ maybe they weren't far off the truth.
It's got to be true, I'd rather we stayed away from such deals. I actually said this about Isgrove after his first couple of games for us...that's why I'm not a football manager I suppose!
