Re: stop being a lovely person please I'm not saying I wouldn't have him back but I don't quite understand the clamour for McLaughlin. If we want to field youngsters, we should be fielding our own - not someone else's. We already have a young skilful right back who can play midfield - James Bree.
Re: stop being a lovely person please Difference is. Bree is 16. going to college in a few weeks. bit hard for him to do training. college+course work and then play professional football on weekdays. Don't get me wrong he's going to be our best youth player (my opinion) but i think 16 year old being on the bench week in week out will be tough on the lad.
get mclaughlin in we need a bit of bite and a hard fooker in midfield, that should take us through the season to challange at the top, just feel when we play the better sides in the league were going to lack that determination.
Doesn't matter for someone like McLaughlin that the transfer window shuts tonight as the loan window opens next week. Even if Liverpool do decide he's not good enough & that they want to sell him they'll make sure he has a season loan so they get a decent fee for him
