Was very poor today, his first touch was shocking, our defence are scary as ****. Brad abbout didn't do nothing all game. Isgrove and Adam h were quality but we lack movement up top. Flech did well when come on and the ref was ****ing *****

Williams - very unfair to judge him in a role he was clearly unsuited to.
He needs to develop in a midfield/ wide role.

Title is about Williams but the post barely has a sentence about him

He was poor today no doubt he wasn't alone though. Don't know if the position didn't suit him his touch was poor lost the ball countless amounts of time. Rightly subbed.

I think it's worth remembering that Williams can be nowhere "match" fit.

He has been out for a long time and it will take some game time to get his sharpness back.

I reckon he showed enough today to suggest that he will be a good player once he is fully up to speed again

A thread about Williams but no mention of how god awful Sam Winnall was and his first touch is as good as Phillipe Senderos'. Williams has been out for a full year.

Agreed. Winnall's performance today was one of the worst I've seen from a Barnsley forward in nearly 50 years of watching.

His role shouldn't have an impact on his shooting and first touch. Both of which were woeful today. If he's not match fit keep him as a super sub because he's done well coming off the bench.

He's said himself on twitter which I suppose is fair play but i'm not his biggest fan. I know that's not a popular view on here but he offers no ball retention when we're under the cosh and offers no pace when we're trying to penetrate the oppositions defence. People will say 'yeah but he's our top scorer' which I understand but if you had given another striker a run of games he's had they would of scored the exact same amount if not more.

No good up top by himself, not a complete forward but he's a goalscorer. Cant understand why it took us to go 1-0 down and twenty minutes to go before we changed it around?? It was blatantly obvious from the first half and the opening of the second that it wasnt working. Massive questions over this manager and the direction were going.

Same as when he was here on loan, great pace and movement but can't shoot if his life depended on it... Could and should have had a hattrick yesterday. All 3 chances were sitters just had to hit with a small degree of power but sadly the best he appears to be able to muster is a weak pass (shot) towards goal, and final attempt he teed up the ball and then completely miss kicked it. My 2 year old nephew has more power and better technique.

Was Hammill playing? When did he come on?

I compared that team yesterday to the one that nearly went down last time around in this league. What a waste of £5.

His first full start since injury , so he's not match fit or got match sharpness yet

Of course they would, because that's how it works. A run of games guarantees goals, if only managers across the world realised hey.

Not sure if that's cast iron proof as Torres for Chelsea and Heskey for the last 20 years shows.
