Are we up for it? and are we fit ? Apart from all the penalties last time we couldn't score a normal goal in open play, and they did have the better chances. So are they going to turn the tables on us tonight? I can see us losing by 2 or 3 goals tonight, but I'll be going and supporting the lads.
I'm also off. I fancy a 1-1 draw followed by another penny shootout. We are a better team than Scunny and if it was at home, I would have expected us to go through.
Probably win, possibly on pens, and get another unneeded game in a nothing competition. We don't need a day trip to Wembley to win (or given our Wembley record, not win) a Mickey Mouse cup. I know some disagree but there are many bigger fish, I've been to Wembley with Barnsley. Both incarnations of Wembley. (I have to say overall I preferred Cardiff...) If I go again I want it to be for a proper reason, most likely the playoffs and in the future maybe a cup run in a credible tournament, we weren't that brilliant when it happened before, so you never know. And I'm no hypocrite, if we did get to the jpt final, I wouldn't go. I won't go to any jpt game. With 46 league games and early rounds of the other cups to negotiate, and painfully small squads and budgets in the bottom two divisions, I think the competition has passed its time and just drains already overstretched resources in the hope only of a nice day out for two participants. Other than a small further drop in morale, which is presumably already lower than a snakes belly, I see no detriment to being beaten tonight, and plenty of positive in being able to concentrate on the league. If they do win hopefully confidence would grow and rollover to Saturday. Whatever happens tonight, it will likely be followed by a woefully disappointing performance against Shrewsbury as they will be a bit tired. I really hope I'm wrong, we have to beat the shrews. Don't care a jot about tonight.
Win tonight 2-0 I'll be making the second trip in the last month 50 minute drive why not You redsss Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
