idiots, the lot of you who think ritchie should be sacked.

we might not agree with some of his decisions or lack of transfer activity but its this guy who's got us to 7th in the league. its his first season in charge and needs at least one or two more to bring back some stability to this club, in whatever division we may be in.

i for one was not expecting promotion this season, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, we will crack on next year and have another go at it.

at least we aint fighing a relegation battle like so many manager we've had in the past have done.

    (hatsoff) Mister Ritchie

as ive said before,- last season everybody was saying how bad our defence was and it needed sorting straight away, now we have one of, if not the best defence in the division, give the guy a chance hes certainly improving things.

indeed he his improving things - where were we this time last season?? lower half of the table was it not - now in 7th - thats a big improvement to me - next season who knows where we will end up.

and lets face it, we still have a great chance of getting promoted this season.

The trouble is, fans judge a manager on 2 months not a whole season.</p>

whats it matter if we finish 3rd or 6th? i know we are now 7th but it could all change again next week, i dont think we should have to worry about playing hudds in the play off they were nowt special today just lucky, we anniihalated oldham at oakwell, the only team i would fear in the play offs would be brentford but they likely to go up automatic

    RE: 2 months?

and because the sucess of reaching the premiership is still a recent memory, people tend to forget all the years barnsley spent in the 3rd and 4th divisions but were still here now a lot of the glory hunters wont be

Problem is the guy has been found wanting, not only tactically but his naivety in the transfer market has probably cost us any realistic chance of promotion, we are seventh, fair enough, but this is a poor division and if Ritchie had taken a dip in the transfer market for a striker and holding midfielder who knows where we would be now, if he is to stay into next season, he's going to have to show more imagination than has upto press, my own personal opinion is he lacks bottle in pressure situations i.e local derbies, the games are running out perhaps his tenure is also.
