Sacking Davey would be foolish

As some fans are calling for!

We're on a bit of a bad run, but give the lad time!

The sad thing is, that if he did go, it'd mean a whole new clear-out YET AGAIN! How many times do we sign players who don't last more than a season and a half!?

Also, Davey must have a midfielder lined up surely!? Why would he get rid of McCann if a better midfielder is set to come in!

A crucial week for BFC I reckon...

A couple of good signings and two wins and we could be back on track.

No signings and some more defeats - we could have a long hard few months ahead...

totally agree. Some get carried away with results striagth away, if we win we are on our way to prem, if we lose w are down!!

Time for some realism, we have a new squad, some good some not, and a 5 year plan to improve things on and off the field

Stick with it, we need some consisteny for a change

agreed but it would be no more foolish than when Ritchie was sacked, who saw that coming

sacking davey?!?! it just means we are going around in a pointless circle, a few bad results sack the manager, thats why we have gone through so many in recent years! We need to stick to 1 manager for a prolonged period of time to allow us to get any success in the future

    I agree completely.

A new manager would be pointless. Looking at where we were last year and where we are now - mid-table, with at least three teams in the division worse than us - I just don't know why anyone's even considering wanting to sack Davey. He's an inexperienced manager and obviously needs to sort out some bits and pieces to do with his work, but he should be given the chance to do them at Barnsley. He's a highly qualified coach who made some decent signings and has actually had us playing good football at times this year. As well as that, he's young and can only improve.

If we sack him he'll get replaced by some has-been 'name' who will either keep us where we are or take us down. I'm very aware of the fact that, inexperienced as he is, Davey has a long way to go in his career. We don't want to get rid of him only for him to flourish next season at a team other than Barnsley.
