Unless we appeal the red of course. He will have been so looking forward to going back to FGR and showing them what they've been missing this season. Such a shame for the lad because he barely has a foul in him so that was such a surprise today. But, then again, look who the ref was. Nothing more to be expected really with that clown in charge.
A poor decision in my view - they both went in- at the most, a yellow. Compare it to the foul on the touchline v Kane where the player had no intention of trying for the ball (& the cynical one on Luke Thomas nowhere near the ball from behind) - a clown in referee clothing
Doesn’t look a red on the replay I’ve seen but it’s not worth appealing because we all know how that will end. Referees this Easter weekend have cost us our chance of making the top two. The standard at this level is truly atrocious.
I'd be appealing it. If we're losing him for 3, may as well lose him for 4 at this stage of the season.
Never a red. Shrewsbury players got him sent off surrounding a weak and easily influenced ref. No point appealing though as we wouldn't win.
It wants appealing on principle. I’m not totally convinced it was even a foul, let alone a booking. But as for a sending off - I can’t get my breath!!! Not piggybacking on this refs vs us conspiracy, but that was another bad, bad call by another inept referee.
Chance for Larkeche. Just before he got the red I was about to say how well he played and then that happened! Although still got sponsors player of the match. I thought it at the time, and still do after watching the highlights, that it was a soft decision. I wonder if the ref would’ve come to that decision had the 5 Shrewsbury players not surrounded him…
Just attempted, at least ten times, to find anything in that which warranted even a free kick to them. And I couldn’t. Absolutely 100% needs appealing does that.
I thought it was poor at the time but that looks like nothing. Said it all when their player got up, jogged away and got a pat on the back from his teammate. infuriating. Now without Cadden for three games. I sometimes wonder what is the point - we are playing games week in, week out where incompetent referees are influencing outcomes/ future possibilities.
Talking of incompetent referees, I am now fuming with Friday’s all over again. Had he done his job properly we would have been in with a chance of moving into the top 2 next weekend. Grrr!
Gone through that frame by frame and never a red in anyones book. If that's appealed it will be overturned on that angle. Look at the number 9 I think it is, walking away. If it was a bad challenge be being the closest player would have been in uproar, but nothing. Deffo gets overturned on appeal.
Agreed. Said the same on the other thread. Not a malicious tackle, but just lost control of possession and in stretching he went over the top of the ball.
Looks perfectly obvious to me from the Highlights, Fired. But everyone will have their own view I suppose. I wouldn't be wasting time appealing if I were him.
Can't see anything in that clip that warranted a red card. No malicious intent. If they have no other evidence to back it up, then 100% appeal.
