Anyone watching Footballs worst away days now on sky 2?? Just had a "Tarn" supporter (and I use those words loosely) on his trip to Bristol when we played them away a few seasons ago. He was about 20stone, still lived with his mum, about 30plus years old and went wis immature mates. He was a disgrace, not very often at all I feel ashamed from coming from Barnsley but he was a total ******. Although the programme contains idiots that call themselves "footy" fans, when there nothing more than pathetic, drunken slobs. Rant over.
if your a regular tarn follower, you will know these lads follow tarn home and away, through thick and thin. we all can,t be a 12 stone, latin romeo,me old. merry xmas.(pint)
The guy's called Carl and he does follow the Red's home and away. Know a couple of people who put their names forward to try dismiss the pisshead Barnsley tag but Sky obviously wanted to show how they perceive Barnsley. Paid for his and his mates tickets, free beer all weekend to ensure they were constantly pissed, put them up in an hotel, even took them to a lap dancing club. The reporter manipulated them to get what he thinks people want to watch. Having said that Carl and his mates really enjoyed the weekend and weren't complaining so suppose everyone's a winner.
With the media it's not so much a case of "get me the story".......... .....as "get me THIS story." They're not interested in the truth. They did it during the strike, they did it when we went up. The upside is that maybe the new high speed train won't affect our house prices too much if the media continue to portray us this way. Stay away Southerners, it's really **** here. Heh heh. .
Actually, they're all decent guys. And, Carl, is the big fella you're on about, he's a good laugh, and a decent bloke. Maybe you should meet them and give your opinion to them face to face instead of hiding on here.
ive known carl for years,he aint a bad kid and he aint the beer monster this program has supposedly made him out to be,although he is well known for telling tall tales.
You mean these lads.....
L-R - Ashley Peacock, James Houtby, Carl and Bowden.
All sound lads - and genuine fans.

RE: They have a website dont they One of them does, yes. But, he expressed his wishes for it not to be published on here before, so I can't/won't put it up.
