Be interesting to see how this pans out over the next few seasons http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28886330
Tuesday night in Northampton .........Dec parker ( dean ) and mi sen ( bry) spent the entire game stood against the corner flag watching the game and chatting with the St johns ambulance guy who was on duty Made a great change stood up watching the game non of the stewards bothered us which was a nice change too. not once were we told to take our seat.
Had it at Crewe. Stewards were great, hope it's a constant theme in League 1 grounds. We need safe standing though, ****** my shin up when we scored our second at Crewe on the chair in front.
Open terracing will never make a return. And rightly so. Not in my lifetime anyway. But no one's asking for that, and these fancy safe standing seats are very different. I think it was also going to take successful pilots in Europe, for us to even entertain it. Our authorities are just too $hit scared to go first. It's taking us 2 fcukin seasons to pilot invisible spray. For once, the PL big boys may do the smaller teams a favour on this.
I've stood up on terracing at Peterborough and Yeovil in recent seasons and really enjoyed it but I don't know if I could do it on a regular basis.
People should have the option. There is nothing inherently dangerous about terracing and the fact it is only against the law in football grounds is both disgusting and patronising a remnant of Thatchers attack on working class people rather than a safety measure. Just used at the time to reflect attention from the authorities. Not sure I'd stand every week but if we had it I'd do a whitey and pay on the door so I could sometimes. Oakwell has never been the same since it's removal.
Open terracing has never been away in the lower leagues, Morecambe's new (well 4 year old) ground is standing to three sides......Accy Stanley is the same
Me neither these days Mario but if it does return In a safe and responsible way I hope all the ignorant fekers that stand up now in the seating area and disregard everyone around are thrown promptly thrown out
