Safe Standing In the Ponty With your boots on Get your head kicked in Safe Standing In the Ponty End With me
I am surprised they decided to help the away atmosphere out by giving them some safe standing as well.
Safe standing install regulations from the EFL or whoever dictates that you have to mirror the install in the away end.
It should have been mentioned on this seasons renewal last year and again if you renew for next season
So if the person in front of you stands up and they are over 5 foot then your view will be restricted unless you stand up ? Safe standing ? More like enforced standing. I said it a few months back when they announced this, safe standing in other clubs usually involves removal of rows or massive adjustment to the seating layout. Putting a rail up isn’t right. People in the those seats (especially if they haven’t been consulted) should have the option of sitting or standing. My son has a disability and even though he can stand he requires a sit down every so often and this interpretation of safe standing wouldn’t suit. Our seats are in OR 2 so potentially could be affected by further developments. And no we don’t want to change seats or go in the disabled area as it’s not necessary and the space should be used by someone with a worse condition.
Just found this online : Key aspects of safe standing in EFL: Licensing: Clubs must obtain a license from the SGSA to operate licensed standing areas. Infrastructure: Standing areas must have barriers or rails to ensure fans are in designated spaces and to prevent crowding. One person, one space: Each standing space must be allocated to only one spectator. No impact on viewing: The standing areas cannot obstruct the view of other fans, including disabled fans. Clear identification: Each seat/space and row must be clearly identifiable for spectators and stewards. CCTV: A comprehensive CCTV system is required to monitor the standing areas. Steward training: Stewards must be properly trained to manage the standing areas and enforce regulations. No negative impact on viewing standards: The standing areas should not affect the viewing experience of seated fans. Attendance restrictions: The presence of safe standing may affect the capacity of a stadium. It’s not going to last long the way it is now.
