Fulham and wolves both interested in signing him, shame he didn’t get much playing time when he was with us. You could see he had loads of potential.
Looked class when he cane back into the team late in the season, shame he spent most of the season injured
There was quite a lot of games where he didn’t get play when he was fit though and then other games he missed were due to injury. He was unlucky when he was with us.
It was only the first month or two of the season & in fairness Bree & Watkins were doing superb down the right. If he’d have been fit by January & not April I’m sure he’d have started every game after Bree was sold over Gethin Jones
Yeah Watkins and bree did to well to be fair and as we started the season so well it would of been silly to have messed with that partnership. I just think after his performance against wolves, where he come off the bench and scored that goal and also looked very dangerous, he could of been given a run in the side, however Ryan Kent done well when he played for us so he was always under competition. Looking back we had very good depth in that position. If we would of had that kind of depth in all positions with the team we had that season and held on to Conor, james and Sam that could of been a very good season for us.
