Mid-table not good enough for such a "massive" club *, so they get shut. I think come the end of the season they might think mid-table with a new manager was OK. It could get a whole heap worse for them without Big Sam.
* I know they have strong support but it's not like they've every really won much in the past is it?

perhaps all these "big" clubs..... ought to go and form their own breakaway league, it could consist of Newcastle Sheff Wed Leeds Wolves Forest and chuck in Accrington Stanley for't giant killin factor
Only reason Newcastle have lots of fans* is because Newcastle is a big city with one club. Look at the other big cities in England, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, London. All 2 teams or more meaning they have to split their support. If there was one team in Liverpool they would get around 60/70k so that doesn't make them bigger. They don't deserve to be in europe at all, and they are only ones that think they should be. Dimbats. *Don't think fans is the right word, but they go to the matches. getting on your teams back at every moment is what being a fan is all about.
Kevin Keegan now 2nd favourite for the job, after Mark Hughes.............................does someone know summat or just a loada wishful thinking frrom a bunch of geordies livin on nostalgia? The latter I guess.
