Becoming legendary for his utter shitness. I honestly think he is good enough to be considered amongst such luminaries as Regis, Odejayi, Hedworth, Mannone, Regan, Wiseman and Frimpong.
The only time I noticed him tonight was when he fell on his arse by the east stand touchline and his fifty pence header he should have scored with that nearly reached the tunnel.
We’d have been better off playing Pines at centre forward than Cosgrove. His performances in the play offs gave us hope, but they’re the only two good games he’s had. We need to be getting shut in January and bringing someone else in.
He should have at least got the free header on target and I can see why that is doubly frustrating given it is meant to be his strength. But we have to give him some slack given that was his first chance since returning from injury. Haven't we?
I've tried defending Sam Cosgrove on here, like a lot of other fans have also done. And like I/we said with Max Watters as well, along the lines of giving them a fair run of games, instead of only substitute minutes here and there. And maybe giving them some decent service in games, and playing to their 'strengths' (whatever they might be). But deary me, it's just getting worse and more frustrating with Sam isn't.
He needs a fresh start somewhere. Preferably the moon. if we could manage to offload him and sign Sam Smith from reading that would be a tremendous bit of business
Not sure who we get shut of him to? Doubt there’d be any takers especially when he’s 18 months left on his contract. Been a terrible signing.
Said to daughter before the season started that Cosgrove and Watters wouldn’t score 10 between them. Seen nothing yet to change my mind.
To be fair to Watters I think he could if we could keep him injury free. With you on Cosgrove though - must be disheartening to look at the bench and know we have no viable alternative to bring on at the moment.
Aww Dodgy kid lol, I think we're being a little bit unfair there on Sammy ehh ?. Ok then, maybe we're not!.
I always live in hope that things will click for any of our players, he's probably nailed on to get the winner against Birmingham.
Hey kid, don't you ever criticise the Full moon!!. Before we know it, we'll have vamps and wolves raising hell at Oakwell. And we don't need that again do we!.
