    Yeah agreed, its good to see these lads making it. Makes us an attractive proposition for any young scholar knowing that they have the chance of making it with a professional club.

    Exactly right. Man Utd fans will be happy with the signing of Holgate because he came from the same academy as Stones. Gives us a good reputation

    This is why I'm glad I support little old Barnsley, although the odd "I love Barnsley from xxxxx" has been creeping in recently too.

    I like reading the comments on the Manchester United Facebook page so I can play "spot the Englishman" 5 points for a Southerner, 50 points for an actual Mancunian :D

    Proper Man Utd fans go on Ref Cafe forum and have followed the progress of Pearson at Barnsley all last season and discussed this seasons loan.

    likewise most of their young players. If they signed Holgate that would be the place to keep an eye on how he was doing

    Yeah I remember watching him in the academy and he looked like he had the required technique and work rate. Fair play to him for coming back after the set back of being released.
