Can't believe some of the things people are saying about him. Sure he hasn't been on the best of form lately but that doesn't mean he's suddenly this bad player who is not up to this league. Less than 5 games ago he was banging them in regularly on limited service. Between Millwall and Bradford in the JPT he had been consistently scoring at least one every 2 or 3 games. A confident Sam who stays upfront and gets service is what we need. Unfortunately he is being instructed to drift in and out of the midfield and come back to defend every corner & free kick which is a great waste of his talent and is bound to leave him frustrated and low on confidence. Everyone knows he would of got 20 plus goals without injury last season.Smith and Winnall could tear this league up with the right tactics. We have the best striker in league one....we're just not using him right.

It's obvious isn't it? Hourihane is injured so we have to move on to slagging off another one of our best players. Scowen was in for in yesterday as well.

    I think Winnall's brilliant.

Both Smith and Winnall have looked far too easy to play against in recent weeks. It's all about confidence though at the moment and as is plain to see, we look completely devoid of it.

The loss of Hourihane was huge. As most folk with eyes and plenty of experience of watching BFC since we signed him would have predicted. But others disagreed.

    Scowen was tripe. Again.

    No hiding from it.

Scowen's mate on twitter said yesterday "feel bad for Josh having to play with these *******s".

    Not ideal.

    EDIT

We were losing/playing **** when Hourihane was fit, it's just that we could rely on his set pieces to create sumert.

    Nice.

As in the players or the club in general?

Or take from it what you will..

He's hardly covering himself in glory this season...

    Exactly. Big miss.

He's also a leader, and, works well with Winnall who in turn seems to work well with Watkins. The three of them at Bradford were **** hot, can't believe how bad it's been since.

Not a clue. And it was his mate, so not his fault, but ought to perhaps get his pals to wind it in a bit.

Fottball is a team game. You have a squad and sustitutes available in each game.

When a player is tired, injured, or just not playing well a team mate can step in. It can add competion for starting place and keep fringe players fresh for when they are needed. And fringe players stay focused, develop and feel part of the squad.

If not used fringe players can lose match fitness/focus, or become frustated.

Strange how many managers do not grasp this concept.

IMHO Winnall is a good player but needs resting. And we have adequate replacements waiting to come in Michael Smith needs to play. He and Jackson deserve a run of games and have experience needed. And Digby needs match fitness and should be loaned out.

Didn't we play a more up tempo style second half at Bradford?

Just checked, you're right. However, it was retweeted by Mr Childs, who is definitely Josh's mate or a relative of his. Saying that, so is West Ham Dave so it's all making sense......

It was the best 45 I've watched this season, in terms of the graft, pressing, defending and direct attacking play.
