    Promise to do early business and it never happens.

    Promise to be very active then mess up half the deals and offer half a peanut to players so we end up either panic buying or short in key areas.

    This has been a seriously underwhelming month. Makes me wonder if the new investors actually care if/when we get relegated.

    Have you got links to these promises, and also do you know for certain that we offer peanuts, and that is the only reason for deals breaking down?

    Hecky said only last week that most business will be done late.

    So if, as looks at least possible, we got the deal close to the line and were then gazumped by Lazio - what exactly have the club done wrong, in your opinion? What should they have done differently to make the player sign?

    I suppose @OnGoingCloud1887 prefers we have players sign contracts at gun-point then. Who gave players the right to make up their own minds anyway?

    You can't force anyone to come to the club. All you can do is make it as attractive as possible so they'll see it as a good opportunity. Surely the club is trying, but that doesn't mean it'll always work out.
