42 points with a team with a fair number of "3rd and 4th division players" what is there to complain about.
Badly. I reckon we might possibly now have been 5th bottom at best, due to Pompey's administration and the bottom three being absolutely dire.
Obviously it's all conjecture, but we're on course for 63 points at the minute, which is considerably better than Robins ever managed. Not sure how Robins could be expected to exceed his previous totals on a reduced budget. Plus from Christmas during his first season onwards, the quality of the football was generally very poor from what I saw.
An opportune moment to remember Drinkwatta's parting shot.... "I see the move as a step on in my career. I wanted to keep playing regular Championship football and now I will be at a club who are genuine promotion contenders rather than a club who were play-off contenders at best" Pffft....
He's a fair point, really... Considering the gulf in spending between the 2 teams, Leicester should be going for promotion, and we should be fighting against relegation. But that's assuming that signing proven Championship/Premiership players gets you promotion, and signing lower league players gets you relegation. And what is it they say about assumption?
