Saturday could be Anderson's last game unless we can extend the loan-if we wanted to??

BRAZILIAN MIDFIELDER SIGNS!!!

Posted on: Fri 24 Aug 2007

BARNSLEY FC have today pulled off a massive coup by signing Brazilian Anderson Silva de França on loan from Premiership side Everton.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the 24-year-old started his career with Chilean side Santiago Wanderers before switching to La Liga outfit Racing Santander, where he made 38 appearances, netting two goals. He enjoyed time with Uruguayan club Montevideo before agreeing to join Everton in 2005 although problems with his work permit meant he was forced to return to Spain with Malaga on an extended loan for a season. He made 15 appearances for Malaga.

He finally joined up with Everton in late December 2006.

Anderson made his Premiership debut on April 15, 2007 in a 2-1 victory over Charlton Athletic when he replaced Mikel Arteta with just minutes remaining.

A talented midfielder with an eye for goal, Anderson will stay at Oakwell initially for a month. The relevant paperwork is now being finalised and Anderson should be set for his Reds debut against Plymouth this weekend.

That would be a major coup if we could get him...AND Nyatanga for the remainder of the season, who knows - if we keep them while the end of the season and do well, we might sign them for next?

I can't see either of them playing for their respective clubs on a full time basis.

Would def keep him. He does the simple things in games, and got a eye for a pass / cross.

Abit greedy at times last night when he could have laid it off though.

More like Ron Jeremy with his knob firing a money shot at some big breasted Italian bird...oh yeah, oh yeah...oh dear.

You'll probably like my song from last night:

The fans were singing "Lew, Lew, Lew - Lewin Nyatanga" to the tune of "Come on & do the Conga".
I was singing "Lew, Lew, Lew - Lewd Psuedo Photo's".

    Do I win a prize?
Maybe a day trip to Hoylandswaine?

    Where's it being held?

I hear the Lord Raglan is good for kids?
"Have your picture taken with Uncle Tommy, but he gets to keep the negatives"?

    Enough said.
