Saturday ie Leicester, Soton, Fowls

Discussion in 'Bulletin Board ARCHIVE' started by BarnsleyBomber, Apr 1, 2008.

  1. Will be a good weekend if none of them win, Soton v Bristol C, Sheff U v Leicester & Scunny v Fowls, we may go into bottom 3 but will have 2 games in hand on Leicester & Soton. We may not pick up much away at Preston & Watford but we will have the 3 home games to save ourselves 2 wins would do it, so in our hands still

I know it goes against what everyone else thinks

But I don't believe two wins will be enough.

IF and this is and IF Wednesday lose that point against Stoke, tonight's result could not have gone much better as Cov still in it - with some tough games.

Agree that hopefully come Sunday we out of bottom 3 with 2 games and better goal dif in hand against Southampton. Blunts have a big say with what happens at bottom

It will easily be enough, not all of the teams around us will get that many points.

Agreed. 7 from 9 required at home, and hopefully another away from home...

    8 required for me.

RE: 6 points will not be enough

We need 2 wins and a draw (possibly even 2 draws) to be safe I reckon.
I've said it before and i'll say it yet again...I honestly believe we HAVE to win an away game or we will be relegated. Cannot just take the 3 home games for granted for getting the necessary points. Our home form since Christmas has not been that solid anyway.

I know i will get slated,, but here goes!!

I hope we lose on sunday and get the cup out of the way with £650k in the bank, then the players can focus on survival, if we get to the final then i also think we will go down

The survival in the championship is by far and away much much more important than the FA cup..

I know they're professionals (most of them, most of the time) but how does everyone reckon the lads will react if we do go out on sunday? I'd like to hope they fight for their lives, but, cant help thinking it'd knock the stuffing out of them.
    And then the exodus begins...
