best eleven or fringe players? Muller et al might be &quot;rested&quot; if they are going so they're not cuptied?</p>

    best eleven for me</p>

    I'd prefer best 11

which means Muller and Howard should play

May not be a bad idea to experiment with the forwards though and rest ODJ and Stan

    Best eleven..whatever that is...

would like to see Mostto get a start and Stan given a rest perhaps to the bench.

Diego Leon will no doubt play a part if available.

Perhaps Howard needs a rest in any case.

    A cup tie at home

should be treated as a must win game, its a great opportunity to progress and maybe draw a Premiership side in the 4th round. Madness to do anything but play our best 11. If Davey does what he did against Newcastle in the Carling Cup, more fool him. Lost to protect the League form then lost at WBA 2 nil = achieved nothing. Besides, regardless of current form and squad size, I think 8 positions pick themselves, at most there's maybe a winger, a striker and full back position worth debating, end of.

If it isn't on Davey's list of priorities, it's on mine. Yer pays yer money you want your team to go as far as they can. :)

    Anyone think...

JCR should be used as a roaming midfield man, given the license to create - like he did in the 2nd half against Scnuthorpe and has been doing more and more over recent weeks. Possibly playing 'in the hole' from the off.

Also, anyone think Christensen and Coulson should be given a chance to start up front? I do.

We need to win, no doubt about it

A decent cup run could give us many options for next season:

If we are to lose players like Muller and Howard, at least a good televised cup run with a giant killing would double the value of these players. (unless the Muller clause is true)

It would make it easier to attract players to the club for next season if we were in the limelight for a couple of FA Cup weekends.

It may give us the cash to change Mullers contract, convince him to give us till next January, in which case we could sell him for more than the quoted 1 million.

Finally, we beat Blackpool, get Chelsea/Arsenal/Man Utd away, and then SD and GS put in a 500k bid for Anderson the following morning

    Plus

Its hardly a glamour tie is it- the boost the whole team would get by drawing the likes of Mau U or Arsenal next round should be considered when he picks his side.</p>

If he plays a second string and we get battered it'll hardly be good for confidence, chose who are next league opponents would be...and as it happens its Norwich, a team who have improved greatly recently. Strongest 11 please.</p>

Souza is definitely carrying an injury and needs resting. If it is true about Reid going in hard on Davey in training give him a start to prove he can step up to the standard set by Souza.

I would deffo rest Istvan - maybe on the bench but rest full stop would do him good!! Possible Souza as well, I think Kozluck could do with a game!! Think disco will be rested which he needs anyway, Leon will come in! Maybe Howard could rest for McCann, Howard on bench

    This 'Fedorenko' lad...

Worth a shot? Seen him a couple of times in the reserves and he looks ok.

Staying in Championship is as far as we can at present. This must be more of a priority.

    RE: Plus

Definately need to get back to winning ways after three home draws on the bounce. A solid, professional performance is needed especially bearing in mind a tough game against Norwich is up next.

Can't see the logic in doing anything other than trying to win this game. Home tie to Blackpool is a very good opportunity to get a "big" draw in the next round, which could mean an extra player in jan or keeping hold of one that we would have otherwise had to let go.

The benefits to our league position at the end of the season are definatley greater if we stay in the F.A Cup!

On top of all that we need a win. The last minute equaliser could be what we needed rather than conceding in the last minute, but that would all be thrown away if we name a second string and lose at home to blackpool.

    No brainer in my opinion.

I think we should play something like-

    Muller
    Hassell Foster Reid Kozluk
    JCR Howard Togwell McCann
    Coulson Mostto

It mainly 1st team with odd reserve in.
