I paid the £15 to watch the boxing on Saturday and I'm pretty unhappy that Sky only showed the main event live. There were some potentially interesting fights on the undercard; Ruiz (who is scheduled to fight the winner) and a young supermiddleweight prospect George Groves. In their wisdom, Sky chose to crap on about the main event rather than show these fights live or even in full; we got highlights of both.
Is it asking too much to expect the undercard as well as the mainfight when forking out for a 'Box Office' event?
Maybe I should just have watched the stream on Justin.tv or summat.
Anyone else order it, anyone else feel the same.
PP

i watched it at my mates, didnt they show the fights that night (i had alot to drink n saw some fights b4 the haye on but werent paying too much attention so wasnt sure who it was n if it was live)
Well... ...they didn't show em live.
Groves we saw 1,3,5,7 and 8.
Ruiz we saw 1, 5 and 8 (I think).
But they weren't live. Piss poor value imho.

It's always the same mate unfortunately Unless the Olympians are the ones on the undercard. I think it had more to do with sky assuming fight fans wouldn't be interested in the undercard but with George groves fighting that's a foolish mistake to make, fantastic prospect and a certain champion of the future at some level. However, I'd assume they were doing me a favour by not showing the Ruiz fight, properly shocking heavyweight he is. At worst they should show the fights in full after the main event.
RE: It's always the same mate unfortunately But I've sat through 3/4 fights from Vegas in days gone by (not box office) and seen a full undercard. Setanta used to show the full undercard. I could understand if it was on one of the normal SS channels as they also show live Spanish footy at that timeetc., but FFS it was a channel dedicated to that event. I've complained but I expect nothing to happen.
I agree Ruiz is not sparkling but as he wasscheduled to fight the winner, it would have been nice to watch him. Next week the Pacquiao/Cotto coverage starts at 2. I can't see the mainfight starting before 3.30 so I hope they do us a favour and show us the undercard live; JCC jr v Rowlands andSantos v Foreman. Santos/Foreman will be worth watching.
