Pigalle Plenty of bars up there. Plenty of strip joints and sex shops and all like, but it's generally not too seedy. If you get a hotel around St George/St Lazare/even Opera at a push, it's walkable relatively safely if you miss the last Metro, Bloody expensive though. If you're just going for a piss-up there are cheaper and better alternatives to Paris.
