But it's really not bad at £20 for Mayweather/McGregor.

Especially considering the $100 they pay in America.

The $100 I agree with completely. Anyone paying that needs their bumps feeling.

It's worth £20 for the pure spectacle though. (IMO at least)

This is why TV sport is out of a lot of people's reach. Some folk will pay stupid amounts to watch one event that might only last a few minutes.

By comparison then yes. However they won't be seeing my money. Its basically a con job convincing people to buy it.

I don't see the problem with it. The build up, the undercard and the main event is worth £20 in my book, particularly if others come round and you make a night of it.

Yep £20 to watch an amateur fight against a professional boxer seems like cracking value.

If people keep paying, the next thing the big prem games will be on box office, people should make a stand and refuse to pay for box office events, in my opinion!

I actually think he's gonna win.

I put £20 on McGregor by KO and £20 on Mayweather by decision

That's an incredibly cynical view imho. Nathan Cleverly defends his world title against Badou Jack on the undercard which is a brilliant prospect in itself. I don't think £20 is bad considering that you wouldn't get much change out of £20 if two people went to Cineworld on a Saturday night and that's before you've shelled out for PicNMix.

Does seem strange, perhaps it could be something to do with how unsociable the time is for us. Over there they could obviously get a load of mates round and chip in for it making the cost a bit easier to swallow, can't see many people here making a night of it over here.

Wow could be a very expensive night for you then. Really don't see it going the distance the most likely outcome is either the ref stopping it or mcgregors corner pull him out.

Worth £20 as I tend to enjoy the undercard and the pre match stuff beforehand. 4am fight is my issue and doubt I'll be getting up for it after a few beers Saturday.

Fair point but it would be like paying cineworld £20 a month for an unlimited card then an extra £20 for a blockbuster .

The undercard is half decent. You're not paying for one fight, that would be madness. That said I won't be paying to watch this. I'm selective with my ppv choices.

Unless it's scripted he's got no chance. They've done incredibly well to sell it as a competitive fight, but it's like putting Theo Walcott in a 100m race with Usain Bolt and saying Walcott can win because sprinting is a key aspect of football and Walcott is very good at sprinting.

I'd be mightily fvcked off if I paid sky 100 quid for a full subscription and I still had to fork out an extra 20 quid to watch a boxing match.

But they have managed to convince the masses. It's amazing how easily people are taken in. To the point of putting decent chunks of money on mcgregor to win.
