I hope they die a painful death.
There is so much of it about. I got scammed a while back. (Not a large amount and refunded to me.) Because of that. I mistrust nearly everything.
Latest one that springs to mind which prey on the vulnerable. Are the amount of vouchers being offered (£100/£200) by supermarkets supposedly.
They are the lowest of the low.
It's heartbreaking watching (on tv). people scammed out of their hard earned lifetime savings. More needs to be done to try preventing this behaviour.

I agree. I've just had a txt from "direct gov.uk" It was offering me help with my utility bills with a link to my account. Since when have the government been offering people help with utility bills?

I work full-time so I know I wasn't in the bracket to claim anything. Not so much as a brass fart is available to me.

What about the current government driven payments of £400 spread over six months. They pay the utilities like e-on for example then the company sends a monthly letter with a bar code at the bottom. You take it to the post office with your electricity key and they load £66 or £67 onto it. I just did my second one yesterday. Very helpful- free electricity for a 6-9 month period

You should have had help with payments of £66/67 pound taken off your direct debit. Iam with Eon and its been knocked off mine.

I've got a pre-payment meter for electricity so (as I said above) it means taking a letter with a bar code to the post office once a month for the next six months to get the £67/£66 credit added to my meter key. Small inconvenience for a decent reward.

There’s a couple on Facebook at the moment regarding lost dogs. Saw one yesterday - a guy from Rotherham asking for help to find a lady carrying “his dog” - the photo blatantly taken in the USA. Not sure what the point was - possibly some ID theft or hacking scam. Seen the same post supposedly from Cornwall.
