If anyone posts ways to try and scam the system to jump the queue for City tickets then expect to be banned for a long time after the City game. Im amazed I've got people PMing who just cant see that the system that the club have put in place is fair and are wanting to find ways round it. FFS
Do I fall into that category asking for any stubs going unused or are you referring to the bloke wanting to take 15 of his mate's?
As much as they're exciting occasions, I sometimes hate matches like this. The whole ticket madness every time is tiresome. People will miss out and in many cases it's probably unjustified. Others will get a ticket when they probably don't deserve one. It's just supply and demand and very unfortunate. Whenever a big event like this comes around, most of the pre-match discourse is devoted to critcisim of the club, criticism of stay away fans, criticism and squabbling about everything. But that's the downside of drawing a big club away. I know a good few people who are proper proper fans, have gone for years but havent got a season ticket THIS season. They will struggle. I also know a few fans who have never considered an away game who want to go and can. Shame but it's the way it goes.
To be fair mate me and my son went to MK but my daughter does stage coach so couldn't go She wants to go to city so I am in the same position as you needing that extra stub. Im sure many more are too. If everyone posted the forum would be overrun with requests for stubs
I wasn't referring to you and I havent seen the post about the bloke that wants to take 15 of his mates. In your case, you aren't going to deprive someone of a ticket, only try and get sat together but as Andy points out it could open the flood gates.
agree. I was dreading it too. Was desperate for a home game I was lucky enough to get a ticket that season for liverpool, sorry some missed out and yes the club can't win but they shouldn't change rules. If you could get a adult for a junior for mk dons match you should be able to do it for this match. And if the club want to start trying to change things, we should tell them its 2013 and get a decent system involved. Leeds/ Sheffield utd and i bet Rotherham have better systems in place.
there's nothing wrong with this system, just buy a kids ticket with a kids ticket or oap with oap what's the problem
Re: Lets see how confident Don is that we'll sell out You dont think we will after taking nearly 4000 to MK Dons?
You can actually get an adult ticket with an OAP ticket. That's because the OAP tickets at Oakwell began at 60 (only recent changed) so loads of fans have them who are not 65. Man City's OAP tickets are for over 65's only.
No you shouldn't be able to do it. There's a balance between factors to be figured out when arranging ticketing for every game - balancing things like the fairness of the ticketing process with the demand for tickets with getting as much cash into the club as possible by making it easy for people to get tickets. The relative weight of these factors changes depending on the circumstances of the match. For MK Dons it was pretty apparent that if they didn't allow upgrading those people would have had the opportunity to buy a ticket that was left when they went on general sale anyway. Hence there was no harm in letting them use a child stub to save making two trips, or possibly not even bothering due to the hassle and depriving the club of money. For the City match demand outstrips supply and it can't be said that there will definitely be tickets left for general sale. Therefore no upgrading should be allowed to ensure that the people who "deserve" the tickets in each category are not trumped by someone's unentitled mate upgrading in a previous category. Allowing upgrading provides no benefit to the club and just allows people to jump the queue.
Im saying its a sefish attitude that you think its ok to upgrade a kids ticket to an adult one. Your not thinking of the regular fans who go that may miss out due people getting their mates a ticket. Just think if there was 1 ticket left and and the guy infront of you upgraded his kids ticket for his many city supporting friend to go. How would you feel
ok but if thats the rule its the rule then that's the rule. They can't chance from a game against a league two side to the premier league champions.
They can change rules without prior warning whenever they feel like it. Don't you remember the issues with our Customer Charter?
Thats the whole point Im making we didnt sell our allocation to MK Dons even though buying tickets was straight forward. This game is live on TV on a Saturday night and in the scramble to be seen to be fair to everyone, the commercial sense has gone out of the window. I was amongst the 800 at Hull and went on a coach with 10 others to the MK Dons game. We all want to go to City, along with 5 others who couldnt make it and dont live in Barnsley. We are Barnsley fans that have or have in the past all had Season Tickets but the system Dons dreamed up means we have to wait til general sale, which I bet a few more in the 3,700 that went will have to do. Atmosphere in grounds is generated by groups who sit together. If Dons shitty fairness system means groups have to buy tickets in 2s and 3s then the atmos will be flat, like Wembley was.
Ticket sales for Man City i got no issues with the way the tickets are being sold it seems fair to me the only thing that is not clarified is the postal application process, i am a member so have to wait until 4th march for my chance, unfortunately im at work and i live in the midlands so cant go to the club personally, do you just write to the club with your member details ad i want to apply for 1 ticket or is there an application form you fill in and send back, i am hoping they go online linited to members only, Can somebody Gally preferred please answer this question
