How many of these have we had over the years. Players getting undue stick for a poor performing team. Nicky Eaden? any others
i know its a while ago,but steve agnew used to cop some abuse off the crowd if things were going tits up.
Kevin Betsy, Mike Sheron, Martin Bullock, Ray McHale Funnily enough, all honest players with a decent amount of skill. The majority of Barnsley fans prefer a donkey who makes up for having no skill by running, to anyone who tries to do something different. Hence, Chris Morgan getting the player of the year award ahead of Craig Hignett.
Redfearn , Danny Wilson They got loads of stick at the start of their careers - maybe Mattis will go on and be the new Neil Redfearn - or maybe not
RE: Kevin Betsy, Mike Sheron, Martin Bullock, Ray McHale Sheron was crap as a striker so hardly a scapegoat Betsy was very ordinary still waiting for or selling him to come back and haunt us as predicted by some.Mchale did a great but unspectacular job for us so did get a lot of unwarranted abuse.
Mike Sheron- Honest?!?!?! F*ck off! He was the most bone idle money grabbing bas*ard this club has ever had. FACT. He was also sh*t! I can understand Betsy and Bullock though.
I can remember when the idiots in the Pontefract Road end gave Chopra loads of stick and boo'd everytime he touched the ball..... Look at how s**t he turned out to be!!
Can't say I agree about Eaden mate. Any stick he got was for shying away from tackles. Everyone agreed he could drop a ball in a bucket but he'd have been a lot more popular if he'd got his shorts mucky on the odd occasion.
Was going to say Aggy, he was a classy player (reflected in the money we got for him eventually, was it Blackburn he went to?), but often got a gobful from the whingers.
Andy Ritchie? "Here's therteh six pence to spend on loads of rubbish loan signings". Witblamecultureart.
Big, fat, ginger, denim clad buffoon in the East Stand. 1st game - tha **** Chopra, **** off back to Newcastle 2nd game - booo Chopra - yer crap 3rd game - tha rubbish Chopra 4th game - there's only one Michael Chopra, one Michael Chopra There's always hope for McCann, I suppose.
