He got flattened. Its a penalty whichever way you look at it - I think the keeper caught him on purpose, even if he was stumbling. Certainly no need for the red card, and I hate the referees hiding behind the "its the rules" argument - they need to show some common sense in those positions.

I agree...he was fouled...but never a red I think Shevchenko was falling over/stumbling and so perhaps it wasn't denying a goal scoring opportunity, but still feel he was definitely fouled
Tha nivver actually watches what happens does tha He was going to run into the keeper 2 yards before he actually got to him. Stumbled and then ran into the keeper. FFS..it elucidates all that is wrong with football
