A little harsh? Six Italian scientists and an ex-government official have been sentenced to six years in prison over the 2009 deadly earthquake in L'Aquil http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20025626
Thats a stupid judgement if that stands scientists in future will be forced to take the most extreme worst case possibilities or just not predict anything at all
Stupidity in the extreme. What next? Prosecute the architects who failed to build structures that could withstand an earthquake, or prosecute the local government for not insisting on high enough standards of building regulations. Or maybe they can prosecute the priests in the area for not praying hard enough to God to prevent an earthquake occuring? An absolutely scandalous decision.
Or maybe they can prosecute the priests in the area for not praying hard enough to God to prevent an earthquake occuring? You've hit the nail on the head there ML
