No way should it have been a yellow card. The last penalty might not have been given by another ref either.
You're right Ponty, never a yellow card, a genuine attempt to intercept in my opinion and the last penalty to me is very debatable! I just don't understand why the ref did not go upstairs considering the magnitude of the game! All Blacks to win the tournament now for me. Looking the real deal
The last penalty decision looked wrong to me and as said by all the panel surely that should have at least gone to the Tmo from the replays I saw it came off an Aussie last so should just have been a scrum. Gutted for the scots I thought they deserved to win that. Yellow card very very harsh as well. CRAIG JOUBERT will be as popular with scots as Willard or Durso with reds fans
I've got money on the saffers so I'm praying they've got one massive performance in them and NZ choke as they have done so many times in WC history.
Not my thing Union, but they were hard done to. Blatant penalty for taking out the kicker before Aus ran it back and got the winning penalty. After all the hype all the northern hemisphere teams are out, and the other home nations only played 1 more game than England. England v NZ rugby league test series starts in 2 weeks, bring it on.
Good point Ryhill, was as blatant as you can see. Just goes to show even with all the technology available, refs can still balls it completely up!
Every rugby match I watch seems to turn on the referee's interpretation of the rules. The ref dictates who wins. The sport is a joke...
Gutted though we shouldn't have given the ref the opportunity to make that call. A clean line out, take the ball through a couple of phases followed by a kick to touch would have seen us through. I know it's a little harsh but it's a missed opportunity
You're right in what you're saying. A more experienced side would have probably done just that! The ref was still a joke though. Even ran off the field without shaking the players hands
Can't remember ever seeing that before a ref running off the field must have known he'd dropped a bollock
