BBS 2 (bfcbub 2) Rotherham 7.

They're a top side, one of the best sides around, and we put up a good fight second half after being 4-0 down at halftime. Considering we were missing a lot of players and they got to the last 8 of the big summer tournament, it was a good effort. Special mention to our young keeper (reds_tyke) for some cracking saves.

Our goalkeeper was very impressive. He's going to be a cracking keeper. I thought we played well at times - especially second half. The ref in the first half was shocking - overruling the linesman when he was miles away from the action. I think some of his crazy decisions unsettled us in the first half.

I've only been involved for a few weeks but from what i've heard most of the lads only play when the bbs have a game every few weeks. I work shifts so cant commit to playing for a team every week so the bbs team is great for me. Rotherham looked well organised today and I get the impression that teams like them and preston probably play together every week. We were'nt as bad as the scoreline suggests today. If we did play together more regularly I reckon we would do well.

We've only played three games this season

Rotherham have played eleven (and won eight). They take the games pretty seriously and play to win. IIRC, they won the WorldNet tournament a couple of years ago.

I think it's fair to say that the majority of the BBS FC just just enjoy a friendly kick around. We have a policy of ensuring anyone who turns up and wants to play will get a game at some stage. One or two play regularly in the local leagues, but I would imagine the majority don't.

Any bumps and bruises tonight mate? You seemed to be on the wrong end of some rough treatment today.

we should get stuck in more

like MC says , most of us play for fun...nothingelse, sometimes we come up against organised teams who play well against us.but we give them a run out and sometimes shock em.

The young lad in the net did very well and I can see him becomeing a decent keeper if he keeps it up.

funny that when Al first set up the team we had prob the best two amature keepers in the area, but because of obligations we have been left withoout a decent keeper for a fair few games now, hopefully the young lad can make a name for himself and from what I've seen of him so far he certainly has some potential.

We seem to pick up quality youngsters but after a few games they go on to better things...and good luck to em I say.If we can give the lads a game and maybe better their futures then so be it.

Just wish more BBS regs would turn up now and then..TFP was a decent C/M last time I played with him, and theres prob more regs that can have a knockif they wanted to.

Come on BBSers if you can laik abit, why not turn out for us ..you'll get a game for sure....

well played tho to the lads today,we always play in the right spirit if nothing else, lets keep it going..:)
