0-2 A draw would be a good result. It's likely to take time for the players to work as a unit. Really looking forward to this one to see how the players perform - even tho I think we will lose. I'd expect more programmes to be sold tomorrow as supporters try to work out who is who.
Never seem to beat Ipswich/McCarthy sides in general and their older heads will have a field day against our younger ones. 0-2. Hopefully I'll be wrong as I'm driving up from Devon for it
Ipswich are the opposite to us. They only lost 1 first team player (Berra) this summer and loans returning. and have signed Waghorn, Garner, Adeyami and signed Hughes permenantly after his impressed on loan last year. They will miss Tom Lawrence but have signed a very highly rated lad from Man City (Celina) to replace him. They are a big physical compact side, who play well as a team. They've added some strikers who look like solid championship players. They'll be comfortable mid table this year, now Mick has been given a couple of million to spend. May even be a surprise package. Heart says sneak a win 2-1, despite being under the cosh. Head says they're too solid and if their new strikers click straight away 0-2.
1-3 sadly. Not very optimistic about the first half of the season. I reeeally do hope the lads prove me wrong though
Well instead of conseeding the normal 2 goals a game... This season we seem to have up't it to 3 so. 3-1 Ipswich
They will set up to defend, which tells me they will hopefully settle for a draw. I think we will concede however I think we could nick it, so I'll go for a home win 2-1.
At Oakwell vs a Mick Mccarthy team we've: Won 2 Drawn 5 Lost 1 Those 2 wins were when he was Wolves manager, so we're 9 and 10 years ago now. That defeat was the 3-5 one which was on Sky.
