It wouldn't surprise me if all non essential spending was frozen while the takeover is either completed or called off.

makes complete sense, why pay for something when someone else can possibly pay for it in the near future(hopefully)

Erm, I would imagine that any persons taking e over would pay for the assets as they stood. So if the club has the cash in the bank the takeover people will need to buy it and conversely if the money is spent on a scoreboard it becomes an asset so therefore has a value

Why would you think that Gum? Do you really think the majority of fans really care about a new scoreboard? Personally, I don't see it as anything more than a 'nice to have'. I would imagine these things don't come cheap, and if we really are in the middle of a potential takeover, why would the Club invest in something like this?

I would actually be very surprised if they DID go ahead with a new scoreboard.

i would realy like to have a new scoreboard. It adds value to the ticket price as was proposed at the start where they could show game replays etc before and after the game.

Buying a new scoreboard won't add any value to the club for a buyer, think of it like you are selling your house, some things help it to sell but if you replace the kitchen you are unlikely to get the full amount of that back in the sale of the house.

Its a luxury we can't really afford. It would be nice but do we really need a new one and if you were in charge would you buy one?

Rather put the money towards a strikers wages - that would add value to a ticket

My view is that the club shouldn't have come out and said they were buying a scoreboard if they had no intention of doing so. Whether we 'need' one or not is debatable, but why the club make such regular PR mistakes is beyond me.

so your saying that if cryne wants lets say 1 million for the club now he would want £1,150,000 for the club with a new scoreboard ?
