Last night, around midnight, I saw a huge electronic scoreboard being towed around Dodworth on a trailer. Must have been lost as it passed my house 3 times. Too dark for a photo.

Could this be the news we've all been waiting for?

If it was one for installation I am sure it would have been boxed up.

Agreed, this one was fully open as I could see the array of lights on it. I'm clutching at straws, I don't really think for a minute it's for Oakwell, I just thought it was a bizarre vehicle to be driving around a residential estate in Dodworth at midnight!

They use these lorry mounted ones at Pontefract race meetings, like Sunday's meet.
I would have thought the club would be better off with one on a lorry. There are places where you could get one inside oakwell I'm sure. Also being mobile it could be rented out or used for promotions rather than standing idle.

Come to think of it, it was similar to the display we had at Oakwell for the Liverpool "beam back" game.

Funny you say that. I've just seen a Weedol lorry driving up Pontefract Road, too.

Although its seen as a bit of a laugh this - this post actually has some resonance with a post I made earlier about Patrick Cryne taking the money and leaving.
In my opinion the whole Oakwell experience has gone backwards in recent years - tatty looking score board, terrible catering etc etc.
That's not to mention whats happened on the field over the last 10 years.

Compare this to the era before - building of 3 new stands and then the building of the academy and training facilities, Premiership football.

No one is going to convince me that Barnsley Football Club is not stuck in stall or could even be going in reverse.
