    Fair enough Butterfield might not have covered himself in glory today, and by all means be critical and give and honest opinion on him. However some of what I've read on here this evening has been deliberately vitriolic and antagonistic. Way excessive. I reckon its because some posters wanted to score cheap points against Whitey. Sad *******.

    Ps ive never met Whitey but some points seemed way ott for a bloke showing a bit of petulance.

    I'd not seen the incident, but Hemsworth told me at half time he'd been booked for summat or another. Was surprised upon reading the thread you refer to that it turns out he'd allegedly encroached at a corner, then sarcastically clapped the ref. The stuff in the thread doesn't seem to fit with the alleged crime. But as you say, point scoring, fishing for bites etc.

    Fair play to me though for letting it play out. Could have closed the thread and banned the lot.

    Will influence the way I am with folk on here though in future.

    I find it bizarre that grown men are so insecure at their own place in the universe that they have to turn their insecurity on to others at the first opportunity.

    He had the referee and crowd screaming at him to move back to the 10yd line. He ignored. He then moved back very slowly, waited til the ref had moved away then moved forward again. It was petulance/arrogance. Simple as that. The sarcastic clapping made him look even sillier. Is there any need in a friendly?

    If that means people think I'm scoring points then so be it.

    As for "Fair play to me though for letting it play out. Could have closed the thread and banned the lot.". Really? Is that how it's gonna be? What was said that deserved a banning?

    Aye players do it and they'll be pilloried on here, and in the ground, if it happens during the season.

    If you've not noticed JB isn't the most popular ex player amongst our boo boys. That's prior to today and regardless of relations with bbsers. I don't think he should be taboo just because of YTs connection.
