Because 1. The english leagues do not need them 2. It would probably mean the end of the scottish national team as far as FIFA are concerned. Wont happen
RE: I don't agree with having the Welsh teams Welsh and Scotish players play in England, so whats the difference?
RE: I don't agree with having the Welsh teams I cant see it happening even if they were to come in at League 2 level. Why should 2 English conference sides miss out to accommodate 2 Scottish sides. Not a chance.
RE: I don't agree with having the Welsh teams The main reason for me as Spartacus said, is that we don't need them. What can St Mirren or Falkirk offer to the English League? Secondly, I don't know about you but I don't fancy going to Aberdeen or Inverness for a Tuesday night game
RE: I don't agree with having the Welsh teams Not the same as living across the road to us though, avoiding a super league I'd say were essential for English football!
Which English league would they join?... You can't parachute Rangers & Celtic into the Premier League because that would mean either displacing two existing teams or not promoting two from the Championship- imagine if Barnsley finished 2nd in the Championship and then were told that it was all for nothing'cos the two Scots teams were taking their places, quite rightly there would be uproar.
The only way to do it properly is to put them into theRyman League or whatever it is and make themwork their way up via promotion and lets face it they won't wantto do that.
Either way can't see it happening, there is no real incentive for the EPL to want the Scots teams in anyway.

RE: I don't agree with having the Welsh teams Make the leagues bigger, most conference sides would better than most Scotish teams anyway.
RE: Which English league would they join?... To be honest i cant see them joining at a low level anyway despite them saying they would. Firstly it would mean a good few years without champions league football and secondly they'd need to adapt which wouldnt be easy. Getting to the premier might take them quite a lot longer than they anticpate.
RE: Which English league would they join?... They could possibly keep their first team squad in the SPL and run a shadow squad through the English pyramid, then quit the SPL when they got say to the Championship.
The rest of the SPL is lower Championship at best - probably more realistically League 1.
Danny Cadamarteri plays for Dundee Utd ffs!

The reasons welsh teams get away with it is because 1. Its historic, they have been in our leagues since the almost the beginning
2. There are not enough professional teams nor potential support to sustain a league of wales in any meaningful form
3. Wales is damn sight closer to the vast majority of english clubs than the sweatysocks are

RE: The reasons welsh teams get away with it is because Scotland's got a good case if thats why the welsh get away with it.
RE: I think someones slipped something in your tea. nt I had a bottle of Bacardi given, you don't know you've had enough until its too late. No hangover though as a plus point!
