The midfielder, who can also play as a forward, was a regular for the Tykes' reserves after joining the club's academy in 2005. </p>

The 20-year-old Scot has yet to make his Barnsley first-team debut but could play for Harrogate in this weekend's clash with Solihull Moors. </p>

The signing comes as a boost as Town look to hold onto their play-off place. </p></div></td></tr></tbody></table>

I'm not. I only come out at times like this. You got me.

Now, slap my wrists and call me a parttimer. Lord knows I deserve it :(

    Academy - waste of time

Butterfield is the first Academy player to make his debut for absolutely yonks.

And he's 17 - the older ex-Academy lads may well be inferior. Next out the door to some god-forsaken hell-hole .....

    Heslop?
    Atkinson?
    Potter?

Is there any other Academy "products" left, or are they all playing non-league?
