Mattis replacement? We could do with another body in there for when Anderson leaves.

Kevin McDonald and Scott Robertson continue to attract attention, with Barnsley represented at Dens on Saturday to run the rule over the the promising midfield duo.

DUNDEE chief executive Dave MacKinnon last night insisted none of their prize assets will be leaving on the cheap come January - despite refusing to sign new contracts.

Dens kids Kevin McDonald, Paul Dixon, Scott Robertson and Gavin Swankie are attracting the attention of a host of clubs as they get ready to enter the final six months of their deals.

All four rejected new contracts, as did last season's top scorer Derek Lyle, and Dundee are bracing themselves for a flurry of activity during the January transfer window.

English outfits Everton, Sunderland, Bolton and Barnsley have regularly checked out McDonald and Dixon, while Hibs boss John Collins is a known admirer of Robertson, who turns 23 in April and is able to leave on a free.

He goes back after the game against Hull. Davey wants to keep him for another month and after that month, he will go back until January at least.
