Seen the goal back a few times now.

Harsh to criticise the bloke. He wasn't tight, rarely is tbh, but still, I find it harsh blaming him for their goal.

And it was his ball that set up the COG/Gilks incident.

I'm behind you, Scott. I don't think you're good enough to be keeping Bobby Hassell out of the team but you have my support.

    Can't be fairer than that.

Night, people. Been a long (but good) day.

    Thanks for the link.
Watched it a few times and as much as I like Wiseman he should have been much tighter than that to the player that crossed the ball. Their player had time to look up and pick out Ince.
Wiseman needs to be switched on more than this.
Plus when the ball does get to Ince theres no one near him. And also one of their players hits the bar and there's no one near him either. Again the management team have to look at this.

Top teams in the league, which Barnsley are due to play, are likely to get a bag full of goals if the defence is not tighter than this.

As I've not seen Barnsley play since Flicker took over - one thing that sticks out is players such as Jim Jim and Perkins running directly towards the opponents goal. Brilliant !!!
    Didnt see this under Keith.

I'm hoping its just ring rust and confidence. I'm not attacking for the sake of it. For the record, the abuse he's had through Twitter has been a disgrace and I want him to turn it round more than anybody else. I really do. I just don't think he's good enough. He feels like a weak link, in a really dangerous position. I just cannot fathom how he's keeping Bobby out, but there you go. Flickers results are backing him up, so fair enough.

Come on Scott lad, prove us all wrong!

Had the cross come in from the other side, I very much doubt any one would be moaning at golbourne.

Stones was left for dead a few times against millwall and let crosses in, but no one mentioned that.

    Get off his back

First rule of teaching - If you want someone to improve, you don't tell them how s**t they are, and then expect an improvement. All it does is make the person feel bad about themselves, destroy their confidence, and make them perform at an even lower level.

Yesterday when Blackpool scored, we had posters on here leaping to instant conclusions that their goal coincided with Wiseman's arrival on the pitch, and therefore he was probably at fault. No other player mentioned as to blame, just Wiseman. I'm getting sick of some of the criticism; if you want someone to improve, give encouragement, and praise where it's due. Yes, it's a forum, we're all entitled to our opinion, but at times the negativity's going overboard

And as for the anonymous posters on Twitter, giving him personal abuse, I've just got contempt.

Agree entirely. I am no happy clapper but get bored of the constant hassle he gets. I didn't go to the game (not a real fan, I know) so can only go on what I saw on FL show, but who put the through ball through to COG which led to the keeper getting sent off? Hmm Wiseman. Who was ther to clear the ball when they hit the bar... Wiseman. Just 2 examples, but how come they are not also analysed?

I never see any threads about the good things, who set up the goals, marlons gut busting run, jimbo's finish, Perkins through ball to Scotland etc etc.

Good post . Improve performance through support and constructive criticism? There are some on here who don't understand the meaning of that

Everybody needs to give wiseman their full support, just like we do the rest of the players. We are all in this together, including wiseman. Get behind em, get behind him.

Blame and credit, where and when it's due....it wasn't Wisemans fault.

Have to agree. If we want to pick fault Etuthu and Perkins could have done better.
