Like saying we're all a bunch of miners who wear flat caps and walk whippets. </p>

Lived here 19 years and never been the victim of crime - been the victim of crime in Barnsley a few times though so have my parents.</p>

 

The newspapers aren't as keen to condemn...

...the whole of "trendy" Manchester as gangland murderers when yet another twelve year old gets shot but it seems Liverpool is pretty much fair game for some good, old fashioned, class based stereotyping whenever a burglary occurs.

I've nowt aginst Liverpool per se, it's just scousers sound like they've inhaled a helium balloon when the speak (Gerrard and Carrigher)

 

I would but no doubt the Scousers can get to Mancland

The story isn't just someone getting burgled though, what makes the storyis that it's a "hero" of the local football team being burgled at the same time as he was helping them to get to the final.
