Just been on FiveLive that Liverpool fans are objecting about the league scheduling a match for them on the 17th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster. They say it's insensitive, are they being a tad oversensitive or am I just having one of those Boris Johnson moments?
not really. I can understand. Lets just say one of your relatives died on that day, it may be a tad too much for you to attend a match following the team that their relative did. ie if your son died at hillsbrough, and then you had to go to a match watching the same team on their anniversary. But end of the day, they are scousers...
Ridiculous! Anyway - thought they'd have preferred to have a game then they can have a minutes silence, lay flowers, parade all the survivors in front of the kop and generally wallow in self pity. "They say its insensitive" - err - perhaps the league just got on with scheduling games and, as it was a game day, they scheduled one there! Infact - It's a Saturday! What the **** did they expect?!
While they are at it they should complain about having a game tonight as it's the anniversary of Bill Shankley's death....bloody insensitive these lot at the FA
