I think Liverpool Fans would feel more like 'giving it a rest', as you so eloquently put it, once justice has been done for the 96 people who lost their lives at Hillsborough...

For weeks/months/years after their families have been marginalised and ridiculed in some elements of the press and football fans alike just for wanting those responsible to be actually held accountable for their actions (of lack of actions).

I suppose its ill informed comments like yours that maybe keep the feelings/emotions still so strong in Liverpool!! I for one respect and admire what the whole city has done since that ill fated day to push, push and never give up pushing until the government agree to review the case and actually conduct a investigation into what actually happened at Hillsborough and the reports given...

Maybe I have over reacted to your post, but I wish people who make such comments about Hillsborough and Liverpool fans would also GIVE IT A REST...

 

Playing devils advocate, I'm not aware the sun did anything other than report lies. The paper was in no way responsible for what happened and it feels like the two can't be separated even after all this time.

At least our fans were shafted by a tory government, liverpool fans were killed by their own who, yet again, turned up late to turnstiles, drunk, WITHOUT tickets and caused the dearths of innocent people.

Actually it doesn't. I was a police officer who worked quite a few games there. One being a semi final again involving Liverpool fans. At that one they again turned up late, drunk and with no tickets then tried to rush the gates.
I have spoken to several rother officers who policed hillsbro as well as ambulance officers. The have stated that the same thing happened then (when the innocents died). Police and ambulance officers were abused, urinated on and assaulted.

When heysel happened I was in the RAF in sardinia. We were banned from leaving the camp at the fear of us being lynched by irate itslian fans, again add they knew of the reputation of Liverpool fans.

I'm not talking rubbish I have first hand experience. If you care to discuss this further pm me ...

 

What happened that day was a very sad tradgedy and I don't buy into this ****** about Liverpool fans being at fault!!!

But whenever they play man utd (of which I don't like) they find it acceptable to launch a tirade of abuse to the mancs about Munich....

this might give some ignorant pillocks an idea why the sun was boycotted by the people on merseyside,the same Sun that was boycotted by the NUM after lies about us,the miners,who were also victims of lies by the same fcukin police force who were at Hillsborough and orgreave.Its all about lies made up by the same cops,media and government to cover up their own failings.

I just hope any Liverpool supporters reading this thread don't think that we all feel the same way,when you've been a victim of the south Yorkshire police,the Murdoch media circus and the tory government you wouldn't be typing ***** like that.

These alleged ex colleagues you've spoken to will have made statements to corroborate your allegations and confirmed this when interviewed by the IPCC and Enquiry Team . The whole tragedy is on film from the opening of the gate to the behaviour of fans and Police so everything you say happened will be able to be proved...... or not

Did your police friends admit to doctoring their reports and their ones from Orgreave? One of the things to be proved conclusively. Miner's shafted by the government with a little help from your friends who made a pretty packet out of the miners

 

if your collegues hadn't lied in the first place then there wouldn't have been 25 years of fighting for justice,lying,so they could put the entire blame on the heads of football supporters was wrong,i would imagine that those 'several' policemen you spoke to on the day were also lying b@sterds.I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.
There was a woman special cop on look north earlier on this year who said the police had lied all along,but she was scared to say anything.If it isn't ***** why did the sun have apologise then?
