Yiadom looked a bit suspect.. Nowt against him but he might be better not being chucked in thedeep end. Its a huuuge step up. So I think Josh should take the RB spot again and have Moncur partnering Conor in the middle. Its a hard choice though. Do we put pressure on the defence with a more attacking midfield? Or do we bring another midfielder in?
So how is Yiadom supposed to gain experience and improve in this league if we drop him after his first game? Sent from my iPhone
I think we give 'em a few games to bed-in first. It's been stated by others elsewhere that perhaps 4-5-1 rather than an attacking 4-4-2 away from home might be a bit better. I'd be happy for us to start home matches 4-4-2 with Yiadom at right back, the position he was bought to play in, rather than change the midfield around to shoe-horn a central midfielder into a right back position he's not as comfortable playing in. If Hecky thinks we need to strengthen at right back there's the rest of August to do so.
No. Give him time. Scowen was brilliant in midfield, yesterday, where he should be played. Let's be honest, he did a job at right-back when we were desperate, but at times he got the run around. I'm still a bit baffled that we didn't keep hold of Williams. Defensively strong full-backs are what we're going to need in this league, and that's what George was.
In the midst of our good run at the end of last season, Scowen looked to be the weak link at full back. Yiadom will need a few games to get going but judging from his performance against Everton, I don't think he's too far away at all. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
No. Scowen is vital in midfield and struggled at times at right back in league 1. Besides, Yiadom in my opinion is a very good player and with a bit of time should excel at this level.
