Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay caught up with Josh Scowen after his move to Barnsley FC today Barnsley have signed 21 year old Josh Scowen from League 2 leaders Wycombe Wanderers on a two and a half year deal. Here's what Scowen had to say. "I feel quite jammy really, getting this move to such a great club. I feel that the currant squad has some of the cream of the best players in the league. It all came as a bit of a shock to be honest, I was just having my afternoon tea when I was told about Barnsley's interest. I thought it was some half-baked prank but it turned out perfectly. I hope the fans will soon be chanting my name which is pronounced "Scoo-an", he didn't say.
Well said lad. It is a great club. It's just a shame that most folk have accepted being a less than mediocre club at present.
Such a boring comment. I hope you say these things on purpose and it isn't your permanent outlook on life.
Many of their fans not happy though. I liked this comment "Mortified at the response to Josh leaving the club. An utter disgrace that so called fans should question any decisions made by the club or management considering our current league & financial position. So many wannabe managers & critics. Not sure what the board or Gaz's thoughts would be. He played the game with balls. Shame some fans have lost theirs."
