It's Nixon. Bottom line we offer the lad decent wages and he will stay.

I think he'll end up at Ipswich, QPR, Fulham, Brentford or Reading.

He's shown enough to be wanted by most championship clubs & I'd hazard a guess that a young couple with a baby & no family around here would be more comfortable closer to home where both of their families are on more money

same rules apply for me. obviously don't sell him in this window. that would be a bit daft at this stage. beyond that, offer him the right contract without breaking our wage structure. if he's looking for more than that, he leaves in the summer with my best wishes.

They need to be careful, we are quite nifty at pulling offers off the table.

We're 7th in the league playing some fantastic entertaining football, with a uncomplicated system we're everyone knows their roles, our focus is attacking teams scoring goals and winning games, which we're doing on a regular basis, I can't believe any footballer wouldn't want to buy into this, we have a fantastic set up at Oakwell, sports science and fitness people are brilliant at their jobs, the football coaches are proving they can improve players time and time again, we're bring in really good young players and trying to improve the squad all the time, Barnsley as a town is as a good a place as any you could wish to find to bring up a family, serious crime such muder and gang related crimes are few and far between in our town so it's pretty safe for young kids and teenagers. We're also only a stones throw away from two major cities for people who like to live in the hustle and bustle.

In my opinion the only reason we're struggling to re-sign players is because of money, and while that's the case I feel theirs always a chance an agreement can be reached, apart from obviously when players are attracting clubs who pay the really big wages.

Way things are going there'll only be Adam Davies left. Shocking that no player wants to be here when we are doing so well

Proof if it were needed that footballers priorities are almost always 1. Money and 2. Success in that order.

That report says nothing. Just because he won't sign a new contract, doesn't mean he's leaving. He is our player until the summer.

Sick of this stuff. People trying to create stories from nothing.

Adam Davies didn't have to agree terms that's why. His previous contracted included the option to extend.

We all know how secretive we as a club are about transfers, maybe that's why transfers in (good news) aren't speculated on as much because we like to keep things under wraps but the club's we sell to don't?

It only had the option to extend for 1.year adam has extended for a further year meaning he will have had to agree terms.

I hadn't noticed that. I saw he'd signed a new contract and just assumed it was the one year extension. The benefit of not paying attention first time round is that I get good news twice

We had an option to extend until 2018. He agreed a new deal until 2019.

    *Ignore me. Beaten to it.
