Was this another hint from LJ that he needs more funds to get some players in? Although it was a fantastic game I find it strange that he would start with Watkins who was supposedly out for 2-6 weeks according to this Fridays Chronicle, make Templeton and Scowen travel down to warm up with the team when they weren't in the matchday squad and suddenly bring in the likes of G.Williams and H.White on the bench after months with no look in. After his statement about needing braver recruitment I'm starting to wander if LJ just doesn't have the bottle to stand up to the board.
Or that's all the players we have. Does there have to be a falling out or ulterior motive in everything.
Ok well done you've successfully won the prize for finding the most tenuous thing to complain about since you can't complain about results! CONGRATULATIONS!!
Harry White scored two in the week and with us only with two strikers left it made sense for him to be on the bench. Watkins' injury was probably more tactical. By that being if Melon listened to Johnsons Pre match thingy Melon would have to then think about who Watkins' replacement would be. So saying Watkins is a doubt could make Melon change his plans for marking Watkins etc. No idea why Scowen & Templeton going down just to warm up. Scowen i could sort of understand but why Templeton I don't know.
People who understand football would know that Scowen and Templeton travelled and warmed up to intergrate them back into the squad, its a very professional way of working. Scowen for sure is chomping at the bit to get going, just having him in and around the first team will ignite him and his team mates.
It was cold. You don't want professional footballers sat around in freezing conditions and then have to run . Besides, they all like a run about regardless of if they're coming on.
